The best thing about being a magician is walking up to a table and creating buzz. As I work the room during the wedding breakfast you hear people clapping, cheering and laughing as I do things like pushing wine bottles through tables, making guests money vanish (I give it back after!) and reading their minds. Other tables hear the fun and get excited the magician is coming to them next, and you feel the atmosphere raise in the room before the speeches.

2) Breaking The Ice

So, your guests have sat down for a meal and they are going through the motions of small talk, it can be kinda awkward when the guests don't all know each other. So it is definitely time for a magician to come and break the ice! This brings the group on each table together as they all experience the magic together, and after I have performed they usually go beyond small talk to discussing theories on how the tricks were done.
