Booking Terms

It may not be a magical moment reading about money, but it is necessary to have a clear policy when bookings are being made.

When a customer places a booking they will be sent a email booking confirmation, which serves as the contract between Stephen James and each customer. When each customer books and pays for a booking they agree to be bound by the following terms:

• The customer booking the event agrees to provide an accurate email address and mobile number. The customer will be responsible for monitoring their email account (including their spam folder) and phone for communication regarding their booking. Stephen James cannot be held liable for any outcomes that result from the customer not reading or responding to communication.

• Payments for bookings are due on the dates specified in the email booking confirmation. Stephen will email you when payments are due, failure to pay the monies when emailed may result in the performance not going ahead.

• If a customer wishes to change the date of their booking, then monies paid can be moved to the new date with no additional fees. If Stephen is not available on the new date then he will arrange for another great magician to cover the event.

• If a booking is cancelled by the customer more than 30 days before the event date then the customer will receive a refund of all monies paid. If a customer cancels within 30 days of the event then no refund will be given.

• In the very unlikely event Stephen James is unable to make the date (i.e. sickness) then arrangements will be made by Stephen for a suitable alternative magician to do the performance. If an alternative cannot be found, or if the customer objects to the replacement, then a full refund will be given with no additional compensation.

• If any unforeseen circumstances cause Stephen James to deem it unsafe for him to attend your event (i.e. terrorist attack, natural disasters, epidemic) then a full refund will be given with no additional compensation.

• This has never happened, but should the customer have a reasonable reason to be unhappy with the service provided, then the maximum monies that will be paid back will be the full amount paid for the booking with no additional compensation.
